Bryce Still Dreaming
Bryce continuing his sleep from the house.

A familiar smell enveloped the air. A little fear sank in as I acknowledged Jaycelle’s facial expression that Bryce might have pooped. And this was right in the middle of flight which had the longest time I waited for the “buckle up” light to turn off. Little fear was how I would describe the feeling because of the cramped C.R. an ATR plane has and how I am the default janitor of diaper mess.

The Challenge

As soon as we were allowed to unbuckle, we zoomed pass to the back just like how we do in wedding buffets. Aggressively enough, we were first to lock ourselves in. To my horror, Bryce’s poop was like melted chocolate that was smushed in his shorts and right leg.

Tinola

Home-cooked meals are the best. The evidence was Bryce’s gusto in eating two to three rounds of rice and viand. We have done this a long time ago—meal planning, that is. And our first (again) was Tinola which is also my father’s favorite food (as long as it’s cooked by my mother).

Bryce and Pandesal

Yesterday, it rained bullets when I missed the taho vendor by a minute or two. This was after the fact that I promised to prepare it as a breakfast for Jaycelle. So, what a dutiful husband to do? Wake up your wife with another promised breakfast of pandesal, buko juice, and chilled taho (for the meantime because on Sunday is Henry the taho vendor’s rest day).

Early in the morning, Bryce and I walked to a neighboring store complex to buy yummy Pinoy buns from Pan de Manila then we crossed the street to get some buko juice and onto 7-Eleven to get chilled taho. And our Sunday was done!

Bryce Shoots

Bryce could now lift up my DSLR (pancake lens attached) and shoot without limits (unlike me who saved up for 36-shot films). He’s using live view and auto-focus—so he just full-presses the camera until it hits the target. The good thing about this is that Jaycelle and I would always have a paparazzi following us around.
