It was our first real connection. Not when she entered the room for an interview at LWS Media one day in April of 2007; she was wearing her hair in a bun, golden shawl around her shoulders – I was certain, I saw a young Imelda Marcos walked by.
Certainly not when she was introduced to a small group of office mates working at midnight; everyone looked up except I – I was real busy computing in the computer. Not when she snagged my Yahoo! Messenger ID from someone and chatted me away without asking, “ASL?” Not when we randomly sat in front of each other during a midnight lunch in Jollibee at Emerald Ave.
One night, we both happened to adjust our break schedules and then suddenly we were having lunch together for the weeks that followed. A topic of family started our friendship.
I love how Jaycelle loves her family.
