I’ve been experiencing occasional insomnia attacks that left me wide-awake until three in the morning. When my tummy started to growl, my mind couldn’t and wouldn’t let go of my foodie thoughts that eventually became a craving! This time I craved for breakfast food that I can literally eat any time of the day!
One restaurant that I saw online that I bookmarked on my Must-Try List was Kanto Freestyle Breakfast. I originally thought that they only have a branch in Kapasigan, Pasig. Imagine my excitement to find that they have seven branches! I saw a branch in Mandaluyong which I thought was near us, but eventually, my Brian checked the map and noted that their Kapitolyo, Pasig branch is nearer our place.

Once I’m awake and regained enough energy and brain powers from lack of quality sleep, we excitedly prepared to go and have our lunch at Kanto Freestyle Breakfast.

Their Kapitolyo branch only has an open-air dining area. Good thing it wasn’t super hot when we went. I giddily browsed through their menu and spotted many things that I’d like to eat! But I first ordered my recent breakfast food favorite—pancake, bacon and egg! I knew I wanted to eat more and so my second order was daing na bangus with 2-eggs freestyle and their Kape Latte.

Our orders arrived not too long after we placed them. I was so excited to see the fluffy pancakes and the long and crispy-looking bacon!! My toddler Bryce loves pancakes too! And so he cried for me to share my pancakes with him. We both happily ate our fluffy pancakes which was our appetizer since we both have our main dish orders! I am so in love with how pancakes + bacon + egg tasted together in my mouth. It is my ultimate favorite breakfast at the moment!

After enjoying my first order, I immediately started my second order, daing na bangus with garlic rice and a side order of sunny side-up eggs. I’m just wondering why eggs are not automatically part of the meal? This dish was just OK for me, not too fascinated with the taste of their daing na bangus.

In between my chewing, I am tasting their Kape Latte which was too strong for our liking, despite adding sugar to it. It wasn’t something that I can recommend though.
Overall, this place satisfied my craving for breakfast food especially my pancake, bacon and egg combo! I’m happy to note too that this branch is open 24-hours!
Happy eating!
