We vlogged our whole Dine Under The Stars experience!
Since the start of the pandemic and quarantine restrictions last year, Brian and I never really had a date night outside. Not until we got invited to try Katherine’s Cafe’s Dine Under The Stars. We went to their Ayala Malls Manila Bay branch. This is their Valentine’s special which is available for the whole month, February 1-28, 2021.

I’m so excited to finally go out and dine out with Brian because dates are our thing! Date nights are even more exciting and romantic. And our first glance at Katherine’s Cafe’s outdoor table-setup are just so kilig-tastic!

But first, let me share their cafe inside the mall. It’s bigger! Well, technically, this is the second branch that we’ve been in. The first one was their Glorietta branch, which I think was smaller than this. But equally pretty in ambiance and interiors.

After going into their cafe, we were led to their table setup outside. And as soon as I sat down, I was handed my pretty flower bouquet. And look at my handsome date. The night couldn’t get more lovelier. ?

If you want to enrich your couple-relationship and keep your marriage alive, scheduling a regular one-on-one date nights is a must. And this is something we weren’t really able to do last year, and that is OK because of the pandemic and the hectic that came with transitioning everything to at-home setup. Date nights are mainly supposed to be about your marriage, right? But, in can be beneficial for our kids too! How? For example, it’s healthy for Bryce to learn that it is OK to be separated from us, mommy and daddy. And it’s also beneficial for when he is growing up to be a witness to a healthy relationship. I believe, there’s a significant advantage to kids learning the importance of a loving marriage, especially when they see it in their mommies and daddies.

The Ambiance

I was already expecting that since it involve stars that it would be outdoors. And I am correct! The tables are situated in the open area of Ayala Malls Manila Bay, just a few steps outside of Katherine’s Cafe.
At the time of dining, I saw eight tables set-up. And each table is draped in this dreamy lacy cloth and pretty bouquet centerpiece. Not to mention that their backdrop is full of florals and fairy lights to set the mood.
The Food

Dine Under The Stars package in Katherine’s Cafe includes a 4-course meal and a flower bouquet. We were handed the menu, and we each chose our soup, salad, main dish, desserts and drinks too.

We both chose their House Blend Iced Tea, and this was the first to be served —in their tall glasses too. It’s so refreshing while we waited for about 15-20 minutes for the rest of our orders.

Their soups were good, mine especially, the Mushroom Cappuccino. But I wasn’t able to take a photo because I chowed it down immediately. ?

Their salads were both good too. It has the same base which is green lettuce and just different toppings and salad dressings.

For the main entree, they have three choices from all the main meat category (meat, poultry and seafood): BBQ Thick Ribs, Lemongrass Chicken and Baked Salmon. So if you have diet restrictions or food allergy, I think there’s still something for you here.

We initially both wanted to order Baked Salmon, but since we wanted to taste everything, which we did except for the Lemongrass Chicken entree, he ordered their BBQ Thick Ribs. And I’m glad he did, because both were super delicious, not to mention they have huge servings! We are actually super full even half-way through our meal. But since it was delish, we just kept on going! A true foodie couple right here! Haha! The BBQ Thick Ribs came with mashed potato and the Baked Salmon came with a flavored rice. ?
Time for desserts!

The Experience

Our Dine Under The Stars experience was something we needed —a time alone together engaging in conversations that makes us feel connected (outside of our parental duties) over good food and relaxing ambiance. ?

Safe Dining Experience
Dining here was a safe experience. The staff were all good and attentive, and they’re all wearing their face masks and shields. The food each came with a cover before they were served to our table, they’re delicious and have huge servings too! The ambiance is conducive to reconnect with your date. Not to mention that it feels like we’re not in the city! The place is lovely and quiet and the air is fresh! We loved it!

Overall, we both had fun on this date night! We truly enjoyed the relaxing ambiance and good food, and we were able to have a solid time just us two to reconnect and realign about our marriage and our family life. We’re a happy mommy-daddy couple here.
